Following the success of our first event focused on perinatal professionals, we’re excited to present another event just in time for World Maternal Mental Health Day, leading up to Mother’s Day.
Our mission is to enhance awareness of maternal mental health challenges, ensuring more women receive the help they need and reducing the number who suffer in silence.

Wednesday, May 1, 2024
7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
WHERE
Karrinyup Wellness Centre
168 Karrinyup Road, Karrinyup, WA, 6018, Australia

We’re thrilled to have Emma, a mental health nurse with a rich background in midwifery. Emma is dedicated to assisting women in processing their experiences of challenging or traumatic births, navigating the postnatal stage, or the transition into motherhood through her venture, EmPower Matrescence.
Emma will enlighten attendees on vital topics, including:
- Strategies perinatal professionals can employ to bolster mental health during the perinatal stage
- Understanding the spectrum of maternal distress
- The significance of matrescence and its impact
- Recognising signs of postnatal depression and anxiety
- The effects of birth trauma on maternal mental health and steps to take if a client shares experiences of birth trauma
- Guidelines for referring clients for mental health support
A Great Networking Opportunity!
Post-discussion, there will be a chance for guests to present themselves and your perinatal-focused business to fellow participants. Light refreshments will be provided with ample time for valuable networking between attendees.
Please note, that a nominal fee is required for event participation, covering hosting and catering expenses. Any excess funds will be donated to the charitable organisations we endorse.
