168 Karrinyup Road, Karrinyup WA 6018 | Monday – Friday: 7.30am to 6.30pm & Saturdays: 7.30am – 2.30pm
On the 24th of May at 7pm, Dr Tash will be running a core workshop! Dr Tash will be discussing all things core and running though exercises to strengthen your abdominal muscles.
We commonly assume a strong core is having a 6 pack, which is no doubt aesthetically pleasing. However, we have core muscles that lay beneath these muscles on top. These deep muscles are responsible and important for relieving back tension and maintaining a healthy spine.
When muscles in the core and low back are weak, your body begins to rely on structures such as ligaments, the vertebrae and discs to provide stability. By having a strong core, this will take the excess pressure placed on these structures of the spine, reduce the likelihood of injury and damage to your spine, and maintain a healthy back.
The transverse adominis is a muscles that we will be focusing on, where Dr Tash will show you how to activate and then progress to strengthen this muscle. Dr Tash will then run through other core exercises that you can incorporate into your daily routine.
Strengthening your abdominals and core the correct way is important as it is a group of muscles that people commonly do wrong, putting strain on structures that are not intended for the exercise. Dr Tash’s will be a great guided way to do your core exercises properly.
Tickets for this workshop are $30 each. Call the Karrinyuyp Wellness Centre on 9341 3020 to book a place in Dr Tash’s Core Workshop.
