Nutritionist and Accredited Practising Dietitian Josephine is grateful to be a Senior Dietitian at Perth Children’s Hospital, where she has managed the nutritional needs of children, from newborns to adolescents, with both minor and serious medical conditions for the past 20 years.
Jo graduated from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Food Science and a Graduate Diploma in Dietetics. Working in most hospitals in Western Australia, the Northern Territory and in private practice, Jo chose to specialise in Paediatrics and achieved a certificate in Paediatric Nutrition and Dietetics at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne.
Jo offers a wonderful balance of clinical evidence-based and complimentary health knowledge and expertise, always providing honest, accurate and easy to follow advice with great outcomes for her patients. Being the mother of two lovely sons she understands and adores children and has helped many families deal with a wide range of issues including pregnancy, newborn and infant feeding, growth faltering, fussy eating, food allergies & intolerances, constipation, obesity and the nutritional management of complex medical conditions including enteral and tube feeding. “People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care”, Theodore Roosevelt. Jo is compassionate, easy to talk to, has a passion for wellness and truly cares about the optimisation of health for all, especially the young, and is committed to helping others achieve this.
