Why see a Naturopath?
A Naturopath aims to educate, empower and motivate the client to assume more personal responsibility for his or her health by adopting a healthy attitude, lifestyle and diet. They do not simply treat the manifestation of an illness and its effects but rather search for the cause and treat it, rather than the effect. Prevention of illness is accomplished through naturopathic education which builds a lifestyle that supports health and wellbeing.
What conditions does a naturopath treat?
What qualifications does a naturopath have?
Our naturopaths have all completed a Bachelor of Health Science in Naturopathy (a four year degree) and are registered with a professional Naturopathy body.
Do I need a referral?
No you do not need a referral from a GP to see a naturopath. You just need to call and make an appointment.
Will my visits to the naturopath be covered by private health insurance?
If your health fund covers naturopathy then you will be eligible for a rebate. The amount that you get back from your health fund will depend on the type of cover you have. At Karrinyup Wellness Centre we also provide HICAPS facilities, this means that you can claim back onsite for immediate rebates.
