Why do I need to see a Kinesiologist?
Kinesiology is beneficial for both corrective care or preventative care across physical, emotional, mental and spiritual challenges and/or improvements. A kinesiologist can be used in combination with other treatments and/or practitioners to increase or support outcomes, or utilised solo, depending on your needs and health goals.
What is a Kinesiology balance?
A kinesiology balance is a procedure or treatment method whereby the art of muscle monitoring is used to identify imbalances and/or stressors in the body, and corrective techniques are then applied to correct the imbalances and restore the body’s natural balance and healing abilities.
How is Functional Kinesiology different to Applied Kinesiology?
Applied Kinesiology is a method or practice used by qualified practitioners in conjunction with their primary therapeutic approach, for example chiropractors will use muscle testing to evaluate and determine a treatment therapy for the client. Functional Kinesiology differs in that it is the primary therapeutic technique. A Functional Kinesiologist has the ability to assess the state of stress continuously throughout the treatment and compare the information or ‘stress’ against other systems or issues in the body. Specific procedures, formats, and corrective techniques can then be used to correct and balance the ‘stress’ collected throughout the session.
How does Kinesiology complement and improve my chiropractic care and outcome?
Kinesiology supports your chiropractic care by addressing the emotional, mental or spiritual components that may be blocked and contributing to your health issue. Kinesiology also has detailed procedures to help balance hormones (particularly stress hormones) that may be contributing to inflammation, muscle contraction, and further pain and discomfort (especially the jaw and neck/shoulder pain and tension we all experience when stress is active in our body). Stress takes ‘neurological priority’ which means that your body compromises its ability to heal conditions such as neck/shoulder and back pain. Our Kinesiologists can identify these stress patterns that may be locked in your neurology, and the underlying programs that may be contributing to this cycle of tension, pain and possibly other illnesses or health challenges you may be experiencing. Combining these procedures with chiropractic adjustments means you get more out of your adjustments and longer lasting results. Many clients report feeling enhanced results from their chiropractic care when combined with Kinesiology.
What are other benefits of Kinesiology?
Kinesiology is a non-invasive approach to optimum healthcare and achieving your full-potential. By addressing stress and imbalance in the body, clients often report many benefits that are not just limited to the original health issue they may have presented with. Often health issues (or stress) has a ripple effect that goes on to effect other areas of health, and has the potential to also effect confidence, relationships, work abilities, and our ability to learn or create new opportunities to better our future. Kinesiology has the benefit of identifying core issues and the other negative effects they cause and correct these issues, and often the results are far reaching and long lasting.
